Fraser Valley Jazzercise is ready to find the beat, push the body and sweat for a cure on Saturday, Oct. 13 at Douglas Community Centre.

Jazzercise is hosting the ninth annual Jazz It Up For the Cure with all proceeds going to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF).

The event starts with registration at 1:15 p.m., followed by a fun all standing class from 1:30-3 p.m., refreshments and door prizes.

"The routines are easy to follow that anyone can do whether you have ever jazzercised before or not", said organizer Judy Griffith. "We invite everyone to come catch your groove, get pumped, relieve your stress and raise dollars to find a cure."

The participation fee is a minimum donation of $20 which is eligible for a CBCF tax receipt.

This event over the past eight years raised more than $35,000 and this year hope to surpass the $40,000 mark.

Jazzercise is suitable for all ages and fitness levels. Choreographed to music, Jazzercise is a fusion of jazz dance, resistance training, Pilates, yoga and kickboxing.

Contact Griffiths at 604-312-8615 or judy.jazzercise@telus.net for more information about Jazz It Up For the Cure.
