Dear Editor,
B.C. Minister of Justice and Attorney General Shirley Bond must really be wondering how she could have gotten taken in by Ottawa to sign for another 20 years of a less than reputable law enforcement agency.
With the recent shooting of a family pet and two more lawsuits for harassment filed by women RCMP officers, the agency's less than stellar reputation has been dealt yet another blow. How much more of this injustice are we going to be subjected to until the B.C. government gets the message: get rid of them.
On such an important matter as policing, all B.C.ers should have had a say in the contract renewal.
We have two years to get our own provincial force set up. That should be priority one for Shirley Bond. She could very well be looking for a new job in 2013.
