The Takio Band visited Topham Elementary, a school that has a long tradition of learning about Japanese culture.

For about 15 years, the students have enjoyed learning about Japanese music, art, dance, food, culture and language.

Because of that history, the school is often a stop on the tours of visiting Japanese artists.

On Oct. 9, students heard musician Takio Ito and the Takio Band. The entire school population took part in a vigourous folk dance about fishing for herring, including singing some of the lyrics.
