There wasn't even room left for standing, as crowds packed the Aldergrove Legion grounds around the cenotaph for Sunday's Remembrance Day ceremonies and spilled onto the roadway.
Veterans, military personnel, RCMP, firefighters, Scouts, Guides, and other members of youth organizations, and others joined in a solemn march, led by the Central Valley Community Pipe Band, from downtown Aldergrove to the local Legion Branch 65 on Veteran's Way (the portion of Fraser Highway, east of 264th Street, past the Legion).
Among the tributes were a fly-past by the Fraser Blues Formation Flying Team, laying of numerous wreaths, and recognition of local veterans who had passed away in the past year: Norman Voight, Joseph Azyan, Larry Blackhall, Leo Charpentier, Lawrence Nohr, Wilfred Watkins, Norman T. Smith, Les Staples, Keith McCarthy, Steve Gordey, and William Franklin.
