A missing South Langley man has turned up alive and safe in Northern British Columbia, local RCMP officers say.

At about 10:30 a.m. Monday, William Fraser Brown spoke to RCMP officers in Prince George, said Cpl. Holly Marks of the Langley RCMP.

Police have few details about Brown’s absence from Langley.

Brown was last seen by his family on Oct. 19, and after that they couldn’t locate him. They indicated that the disappearance was out of character for the 65-year-old.

Police and volunteers from the Central Fraser Valley Search and Rescue team scoured an area around Brown’s home on 16th Avenue.
