Signs marking the site of the B.C. Conservatives campaign office will soon appear on Douglas Crescent, party leader John Cummins told the Langley Advance this week.

The office on Douglas Crescent was established about a month ago, said Cummins.

It's another Langley connection for the party whose leader also lives here, and which just held its annual general meeting at the Langley Events Centre.

However, there is still no decision on whether Cummins himself will run against either Langley MLA Mary Polak, Fort Langley-Aldergrove MLA Rich Coleman, or in another provincial riding.

Candidates haven't been chosen in either of the local ridings.

"We don't have a timetable on the two Langley ridings yet," Cummins said.

He hasn't made a final decision where he'll run. Cummins served as a longtime Reform and Conservative MP in Delta before moving to Langley and leaving federal politics.

Cummins said he expects to announce his choice of riding soon.

Other local Conservative riding associations are beginning to choose their candidates, he said.

The ridings have been told to identify quality candidates, said Cummins.

Potential candidates are faced with a questionnaire about "40 pages" long, a criminal record check, and a check into their social media presence.
