My niece and I have attended the Langley City Santa Claus parade for several years. It's a special event, and my niece has a great time.

Afterwards, it's a rush to get to Douglas Park Recreation Centre for the lighting of the tree and entertainment.

This year, as well as last, it's been a disappointment for her. Gone are the amazing children's entertainers who totally captivated and engaged the youngsters.

This year, my eight-year-old niece listened to one song and was ready to leave. Although the young woman singing country and western was very good, it certainly wasn't appropriate entertainment for the event or the children in the crowd.

Please bring back the wonderful children's entertainers and truly make this a memorable evening for all.
