An Abbotsford man repulsed an attempted home invasion by four men, one armed with a gun, near the Aldergrove border Tuesday.

At about 8:15 p.m. on the night of Oct. 16, four men tried to force their way into the home on Flagman Place, near 272nd Street.

One man had a gun, another a blunt instrument, Abbotsford Police say.

A man living in the home confronted the four would-be invaders at the door, there was a brief physical confrontation, and the suspects ran to a nearby car. They quickly left the scene.

The victim was not injured, police say.

The men were all wearing dark clothing and had their faces covered. The car was an early-2000 model white domestic mid-sized sedan.

Police are still investigating and have not established a motive for the attack.

Anyone with information about this incident can contact the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
