Langley School District students were rewarded for their views on inclusiveness Saturday at Douglas Park.

During A Celebration in the Park, Langley's Community Living Day celebration, the winners of the school poster, writing, and poetry contest were named.

The elementary school award winners are as follows:

POSTER

First place - Elora Kim and Cheyenne Bain; second place - Lillian Gilbric and Ariana Lebedoff.

ESSAY

First place - Chris Sarrazin; second place - Kyle Koski; third place - Jeremiah Capoos.

POETRY

First place - Owen Spicker; second place - Mitchell Gale; third place - Hannah Plowman.

The awards presentation took place on the Douglas Park Spirit Square stage, following the annual softball game involving dignitaries, Mounties, media members, and Challenger Baseball and Special Olympics athletes.
