The name says it all: it is the organization to improve the financial lot of a mere handful of unelected property owners in Fort Langley who wish to enhance their properties through the disneyfication of Fort Langley.

Their project will cost between three and four million dollars. They have managed to convince Langley Township council that the taxpayers of Langley should help to pay for it - at least $1 million, which will be added to our taxes.

This would be considered taxation without representation, except the council, with its usual lack of respect for the taxpayers, has okayed it.

It used to be that businesses wishing to improve their properties paid for it themselves.

I do hope that the taxpayers of Langley will remember this latest insult at election time.
