Lots of kids wanted to take part in a water balloon toss during a family swim at the Walnut Grove Pool on Dec. 28.
They range in age from five weeks to 81 years. Baby Kendra and her mom Katelyn Reid live in Aldergrove, as does grandmother Jenny Reid. Great grandmother Mary Warkentin is in Coquitlam while great great grandmother Henny van Zuuk is from Delta. The five generations were gathered Christmas Day.
Nancy Emery and Lindsay Sheppard sold 50/50 tickets at Sunday's Langley Rivermen game at the Langley Events Centre. Proceeds benefit Langley Minor Hockey Association.
Christian Blagborne and daughter Sumara braved the winter rain while volunteering at the Langley Gymnastics Foundation's tree chipping fundraiser Sunday, Jan. 6 outside the Langley Events Centre.
Jeff Clement gave his son Aidan a lift during the Langley Gymnastics Foundation's tree chipping event Sunday, Jan. 6 at the Langley Events Centre parking lot.
Tim Takats and daughter Lili helped collect trees for chipping outside the Langley Events Centre on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 6.
Volunteers preparing for a 'feed the hungry' project gathered at organizer Jackie Maclean's home to prepare ham sandwiches before carpooling from Langley to Vancouver's Downtown Eastside where they planned hand out their free sandwiches to passersby.
