Dear Editor,
Wow!!!
What an awesome response this past Saturday at the Aldergrove Safeway during our Aldergrove Pool Committee information table. We are extremely pleased with the amount of interest, questions, and comments from our residents.
This is what we want to see: our community coming together for a common goal of getting an awesome indoor pool/recreation centre here in town.
The Aldergrove Pool Committee is encouraging residents of Langley Township to be part of the collective voice that is striving to make sure we have input into the plans for a new recreation and aquatic centre for Aldergrove.
We will be having another information table set up this Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Aldergrove Save-On-Foods.
Come by and ask questions, give us your opinions and have the opportunity to sign up as a member and be kept in the loop on what is happening.
For the past several months, we have been taking surveys, gathering signatures, and asking what matters to the residents, regarding a recreation center and indoor pool facility in Aldergrove.
Now with the Mayor's Standing Committee being formed by Mayor Jack Froese, we need to come together as a community and be heard, loud and clear.
The first meeting of the standing committee will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 9.
This gives us only till January to have a say in what Aldergrove wants to see in its new indoor pool and rec centre.
Drop by between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. this Saturday, meet some of the members of the Aldergrove Pool Committee, and share your opinion about what the Township is planning for Aldergrove.
Take a minute to become a member of the Aldergrove Pool Committee, where together we can have one large, strong voice!
