One local family is continuing its holiday tradition of decorating the outdoors as a way to fundraise for a cause.
"Christmas-a-holic Cannons will be up and running again," said Pam Cannon.
The house at 20102 42nd Ave. will has a holiday display from Dec. 1 to Jan. 1. The lights will be on 4: 30-9: 30 p.m. during those days.
It's a lot of work to decorate a house's exterior and yard for the holidays but the Cannon's use it to spotlight charity.
"We are also hosting for the third year our Cops For Cancer Fundraiser, and people can make donations," she said.
Online donations are being accepted at copsforcancerbc.ca/tourdevalley/ christmasaholicslights.
"Come join the fun and help make this our best year ever," Cannon said.
On Dec. 22, everyone is invited to the house for the family fun event which includes a silent auction, face painting, hot dogs, hot chocolate and a pie eating contest. Everything will be by donation except for the silent auction.
"Santa will be taking part of the pie eating," she noted.
