A South Cloverdale environmental group is bringing the stage show Leaps and Bounds to Langley Oct. 2.

Leaps and Bounds is a one woman show produced and performed by Tevyn East and written in collaboration with biblical scholar and teacher Ched Myers.

The show is about the interconnection of faith, ecology and the global economy, and is being presented by Christian environmental group A Rocha Canada which has a chapter based in South Cloverdale.

The show is at 7 p.m. in the Langley Mennonite Fellowship, 20997 40th Ave. on Tuesday.

Weaving biblical and personal narrative, dance, song, music, and a touch of economic theory, Leaps and Bounds wrestles with the driving factors of the planet's ecological crisis while offering a new way of relating to Earth.

Daughter of two Presbyterian ministers, East has spent most of her adult life developing original works of dance theater as well as teaching dance, organizing workshops and other cultural events in Charlottesville, VA. Leaps and Bounds has toured around North America.

More information about the show is at www.affordinghopeproject.org. Find out about A Rocha at arocha.ca.
