Dear Editor,
With regard to the amount and severity of traffic accidents along 16th Avenue, I feel traffic circles, lights, and speed bumps will not prevent drivers from passing when unsafe to do so.
The four traffic circles along Meridian Drive on the way to Bellingham work because the road has been widened to four lanes, thus giving trucks and large vehicles enough room to maneuver the traffic circles.
16th Avenue needs to be widened to four lanes, and it is long overdue.
Forcing trucks onto Fraser Highway doesn't make any sense either, as most traffic must go through downtown Aldergrove (single lane). It's a big problem already, without adding more vehicles.
