A protestor who interfered with the Langley Community Day Parade was arrested and hauled off to an RCMP cell on Saturday.
The man was arrested for mischief and obstruction, and Langley RCMP are recommending charges be laid, said Cpl. Patrick Davies.
The man was waving a sign, and walking into the parade route, getting in the way of floats, said Davies.
"He was told that he could protest, but he had to stay on the sidewalk, and he didn't want to do that," Davies said.
After being told several times to get out of the way of the parade, the man was pinned down and arrested by police near the corner of Fraser Highway and Glover Road.
The man wouldn't initially tell the arresting officers his name.
Davies couldn't shed any light on what the man was protesting.
