Operation Red Nose starts this Friday, Nov. 30, and those taking part in some holiday festivities can use it to get home safely.

The volunteer run project takes drivers who've had a few drinks home, and brings volunteers bring along the driver's car, too.

Run locally by Langley Gymnastics, the drivers will gratefully accept donations, but no donation is necessary. Getting drivers home safely is their top priority.

Volunteers in each community can do handoffs, so drivers can get back to virtually any community in the Lower Mainland by calling the province-wide number.

The project continues each weekend from now until New Year's eve.
