Good on Steve Ferguson. It's a nice thought, but he has the $340 a month to donate to charity, and I don't.

And I don't have a lot of time to volunteer, either, as I'm busting my butt to make the money I need to pay for gas (including taxes), car maintenance (including taxes), and the occasional car wash (including taxes) - none tax deductible like his.

I applaud the thought, but he should stop trying to make himself out to be saintly. A third of his salary is tax-free, none of mine is. He has a travel allowance, I don't.
