A man is in hospital and a woman under arrest after a domestic dispute escalated to a public stabbing on Monday afternoon.

The attack took place around 3:15 p.m. on the sidewalk of Glover Road between Eastleigh Crescent and Logan Avenue.

“It’s believed the female stabbed the male,” said Cpl. Holly Marks, spokesperson for the Langley RCMP. The man and woman had been in some kind of relationship.

The woman was arrested and the man taken to hospital.

The cause of the incident was not immediately clear.

Police blocked off one lane of traffic for more than an hour after the initial incident to gather evidence. Eastbound traffic had to divert south to 56th Avenue.
