Operation Red Nose continues to increase the number of rides it's giving in Langley and Surrey as Christmas approaches.

On Friday, 120 safe rides home were provided for people who have been out drinking, and on Saturday that rose to 166.

Volunteers in Langley and Surrey have now taken 678 drivers home this season, driving them in their own cars to their front door.

Operation Red Nose is run locally by volunteers from Langley Gymnastics, and while donations are gratefully accepted, the service is completely free. The priority is getting drivers home safe.

To contact the Langley-Surrey office, call 604-532-0888. Across the province, call 1-877-604-NOSE. Most communities have Operation Red Nose groups, and the volunteers can move people across boundaries.
