Back in 2002, the Government of B.C. proclaimed Seniors' Week, in recognition of the importance of older British Columbians to the fabric of communities.
In 2012, the Langley Advance is pleased to make available the Seniors Directory, a magazine format with lots of information about what the Langleys have to offer older residents and visitors.
"It's a comprehensive list of services or facilities that seniors would use or need," said Advance publisher Ryan McAdams.
"Seniors are a growing segment of the population and we wanted to provide this service to our community's seniors."
Pick up the Seniors Directory at businesses that cater to seniors, such as clinics, eye and hearing establishments, seniors residences, and of course the Advance office, 6375 202nd St.
This is the first directory, but it won't be the last, so the community can have a hand in making it better.
"We encourage your feedback and suggestions for the next directory," McAdams said.
