A Langley woman has been honoured by her employer as CAREgiver of the Year 2011.
Robin Moran has been selected from among all at Home Instead Senior Care.
She is being recognized for commitment and service to the older adults who are local clients.
"She is one of the most considerate people you will meet and always finds a way to make someone more comfortable or smile - even in their final days. Robin has an amazing sense of humour and a compassionate heart," said Jo-Ann Martin, the community relations liaison.
Moran has worked for the company for seven years in Langley, Surrey and White Rock.
"The CAREGiver of the Year award is a way for us to acknowledge one who has consistently made a huge difference in the lives of our clients and their families," said business owner Wes Colby.
Home Instead Senior Care provides many different services including companionship, meal preparation, light housework, medication reminders, incidental transportation, errands and shopping.
Caregivers are screened, bonded and insured, and have successfully completed criminal background checks.
