After spending 40 years in Langley Township, it was rewarding to have more evidence demonstrating how much the citizens care about the community; not only about the sports events and the other benefits of Langley, but also about our heritage and the environment we live in.

The people who spoke against the rezoning of Bedford Landing for four-storey apartment blocks are among the untold numbers who have contributed positively to the Township for many years.

Even some of the newcomers, who live in the beautiful craftsman houses built by ParkLane, spoke against the proposed large apartment buildings, as they had moved to Fort Langley to experience “village” and country life.

Fort Langley is an art and history village with wonderful amenities and facilities within a riverside and farming community. We are all depending on our mayor and council to help us keep it that way.
