About 190 Mustangs were gathered on Aug. 26 for the Mustang Round Up at George Preston Recreation Centre in Brookswood, hosted by the Greater Vancouver Mustang Association (GVMA). The 31st annual event drew car enthusiasts and Mustang owners with brand new or antique vehicles, which were judged in both stock and modified categories and across a number of year categories. The event is in some ways a warm up for the club, which is expecting to host an International Mustang Meet next year in Richmond. It will be the first time the meet has been in Western Canada in 12 years, according to Christine Pocock, the secretary for the GVMA. Pocock was pleased by the good turnout, which wasn't hurt by fine weather. It was the first time the George Preston Centre has hosted the Round Up, which was previously held in several other locations around Langley.
