At 2 p.m. on Aug. 7 the new water system at the Murrayville Hall will be officially switched on for the first time. That will enable the new sprinkler system to protect the hall from fires.

The latest in a series of upgrades over the years, it will be a good chance for a get together.

The hall's volunteer committee is holding a free trade show noon to 4 p.m. featuring regular hall users. They include groups from the Crib Club to the fire department, Canadian Blood Services to Jazzercise.

Free table space was offered to local groups.

The Pampered Chef, Cashmere and Cupcakes, Magna Vita Photography, shop langley, and Tomboy Tools will also be there.

For a full listing, see the Facebook page for the Murrayville Community Hall. For more information on if space is available, call Wally Martin at 604-533-5569.

In 2009, the hardwood floor in the hall's kitchen was restored to its decades-old shine.
