Parents grieving the loss of their babies gathered at the Langley Lawn Cemetery Tuesday afternoon.

The 10th annual Mourning Mothers ceremony took place around the Unknown Baby plaque and nearby baby tree that remembers children who died before, during, or after their normal birth time.

The event was organized by Susan Simmons, facilitator of the Mourning Mothers support group and included music, a blessing by Rev. Kathy Zelman, a candle memorial, and the symbolic releasing of doves in memory of children.
