Langley City's Simonds Elementary will receive $50,000 for its playground.
Langley MLA Mary Polak was at the school Monday to make the announcement along with School District 35 officials and City council members.
"This funding will allow Simonds Elementary to bring in modern playground equipment and ensure our kids are able to be healthy and active during their breaks, while having fun at the same time," Polak said.
Simonds is the latest B.C. school to receive some of the $8 million in playground funding from the provincial government. The money was spent over two years and funded 227 schools around the province.
