Adam Osborne, 19, of the Langley Mustangs track and field club won a silver medal in pole vault at the Canadian National Junior Championships, held in Winnipeg July 27-29. Osborne was the youth national gold medalist in pole vault in 2010. He will return to the University of Alberta in Edmonton to continue as a science major and compete as a member of the university’s track team. Osborne continues to be very grateful to the Mustangs and to the Township of Langley for supporting the purchase of all of the very expensive vaulting equipment that has made his success in this event possible. There are many younger vaulters having success in the program now that it is offered locally.
