Canada Deaf Games

Team BC was undefeated in men's volleyball at the Canada Deaf Games May 12-19 in Edmonton, Alta. Langley's Isaac Frink, 17, (in the centre, back row) is the youngest person who competed at the games which attracted more than 200 athletes. The games offered summer and winter sports. Frink said "Many of us, from across Canada have known each other since elementary school - we share a passion for volleyball and it's great to get together. It just means so much more to be able to compete with long-time friends - and afterwards share the experience equally in our first language ASL [American Sign Language]."
