Langley City becomes Bridal Boot Camp backdrop

A made-for-TV movie is being shot primarily at Forever Yours Lingerie and Everything But the Groom.

Hallmark is in love with Langley, and some of that love does appear to be in the air in the City core this week.

Boot Camp Productions is in town for a few days filming along the one-way section of Fraser Highway.

Filming started Wednesday, and is expected to wrap up early on Good Friday in and around downtown Langley.

The crew are filming for the Hallmark movie-of-the-week Bridal Boot Camp starring Jake Sandvig, Spencer Locke, and Marco Dapper.

They’ve been focusing their attentions on the exterior of Auld Phillips Fashion Outlet, Forever Yours Lingerie, and Everything But the Groom Bridal Boutique. They’re also shooting inside the bridal and lingerie shops, explained the location manager. Other shooting has been focused on the sidewalk area on the south side of Fraser Highway, between 204th Street and McBurney Plaza, including some night-time (or in their case early morning hours) through tonight and early Friday.

The storyline for Bridal Boot Camp follows a dress-maker, Andy, who joins a motley crew of brides-to-be for a grueling bridal boot camp, where young ladies learn how to become “better” brides, she thinks she’s found the perfect place to become the perfect bride.

But when Andy meets Casey, a handsome delivery man who doesn’t believe in marriage, she starts to question her picture perfect image of her current engagement and what marriage truly means.

Directed by Jake Helgren, this movie was originally set to air this week. But considering filming is still going on, that’s not so likely.
