The local charity Kids Can Help raised $841.40 at a coin drive at Thunderbird Shopping Centre recently, bringing the group’s total since June to $2,307.99. The goal this year is $20,000. They raised about $15,300 last year. Kids Can Help has donated to cancer charities as well as the BC Children’s Hospital. Members – all kids – get together and plan fundraising events such as bottle drives, a car wash, a talent show, and garage sales. Young people interested in joining or finding out more can contact Sean Thomas at kidscanhelpkids@gmail.com. The group meets Sunday, Sept. 23 at the W.C.
