Santa was able to fit in a stop in Walnut Grove right before his busy night.
Santa came down from the North Pole for some early festive celebrations with Walnut Grove residents on Dec. 18.
The community came out in force to enjoy the evening, take pictures and donate to the Langley Food Bank as part of the Santa Caroling Parade.
"Santa's reindeer were busy preparing for their big trip, so four Walnut Grove hall fire trucks and two trailers from Aldor Acres wound their way around Walnut Grove," explained firefighter Jhim Burwell.
They carried the jolly old elf and the firefighters' families who were singing carols and handing out candy canes to the children waiting for a glimpse of the Big Guy.
Firefighters of hall 2 and the career firefighters helped with escorting the parade and what they found along the route was a community of people lining the streets as they waived and came forward with donations.
More than 2,200 pounds of food was collected and delivered to the food bank.
Aldor Acres provided the trailers for the annual community parade with Walnut Grove's Save-On Food offering up candy canes for distribution. Burwell said that broad base of support helped make the event so successful.
