I have so much to tell you about, because it's been so long since I've written. My bad!
Well, one of those New Year's resolutions - which I hate to make - will be to keep you more aware of business happenings in Langley from this point on.
For instance, I've been incredibly tardy in telling you that the mega Shoppers Drug Mart in Brookswood has opened. In fact, they could be coming up close to their one-year anniversary at the speed with which I've kept you apprised.
And on the restaurant front, of course Agave on 200th Street is long gone. And new on the Langley restaurant scene, and getting some incredible reviews, is the new Mucho Burrito restaurant on 200th Street, owned by Daniel Kim. It's on my must visit list.
Many are already aware that Moxie's has moved up next to the Sandman Signature Hotel at 200th Street and the freeway, leaving Moxie's former space on Willowbrook Drive to be taken over by Rockford Wok/Bar/Grill.
I just heard last week that Randy O'Grady and his team at Ultra Digital Printing & Signs have given up their downtown Langley City site - at Innes Corners - for a location on Production Way that triples their space, and facilitates a bigger staff.
And moving back to local food outlets for just a moment, I need to mention the team at M&M Meats, the frozen food specialists. They're donning red noses - yes, like clowns - in an effort to make people laugh and beat the winter blahs. That might be helpful this week.
But their event isn't on the books until Feb. 3, when staff at the local stores will pop on their red nose and tickle the funny bones of customers to mark the company's 21st anniversary. Fair to say that's a different party.
Also worth adding to your datebook, if you're an early riser (which we've long established, I am not), is the Greater Langley Chamber of Commerce is hosting its monthly Business Breakfast Club next week.
They're gathering at the abc Country Restaurant at 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25, to hear Tim McKinnon talk about the tools for successful networking. Call 604-530-6656 for more information or to register.
