Teachers vote

A province-wide strike vote is underway.

Langley teachers and their counterparts in every other public school district are in the midst of a strike vote. Langley Teachers' Association president Susan Fonseca said the results are expected to be made public June 30.

If teachers approve a strike, it would begin in September with them refusing to do paperwork.

The B.C. Teachers' Federation said the government's refusal to drop its "net zero" mandate is the reason.

Teachers are also looking for movement on the court decision about class size and composition.
