Fort Langley is one of 15 locations in B.C. and Alberta hosting a fundraising walk.

The Parkinson SuperWalk for this community takes place Sept. 9 in Fort Langley.

This September, thousands of people across British Columbia will be lacing up their shoes to participate in the national annual fundraiser for Parkinson's disease, Parkinson SuperWalk.

SuperWalk will take place in 15 locations in B.C. and Alberta and in 90 communities across Canada.

SuperWalk aims to raise $3 million nationally and $325,000 in British Columbia.

Proceeds from SuperWalk directly support the goals of Parkinson Society British Columbia: advocacy, education, community outreach, scientific research and public awareness.

For families living with Parkinson's disease, the Walk represents an opportunity to raise critical funds for the society, but more importantly, it gives walkers hope.
