Langley RCMP are investigating a report of shots being fired overnight Monday on 56th Avenue.

At about 11 p.m., someone fired a number of shots at buildings on a property in the 22600 block of 56th Avenue. People were on the property at the time, but it’s unclear if they were in the buildings.

No one was injured, said Cpl. Patrick Davies.

“We do not believe this to be a random act,” Davies said.

Police closed off the road from 232nd Street to 224th Street, while officers investigated the scene. It was expected to be re-opened shortly before noon Tuesday.

Police did not have a description of a suspect or a vehicle to release, and no arrests had been made Tuesday morning.
