Rudeness met with kindness

Dear Editor,

I would like to offer a brief follow-up on my previous letter [Rude note taints village image, Feb. 21 Letters,Langley Advance] regarding the nasty note we received on our front door, demanding we take care of our barking dog or "they would."

We were incredibly touched to receive an offer from CertaPro, a local painting company. They offered to paint our front door for free to fix the damage that was left by the tape when we removed the sign from the door.

We feel very grateful for this kind gesture by Sinem Alugan and his staff - and it has been a nice reminder that there still is kindness in the Langley area.

Joanna Martinello, Langley
