A man who snatched a ring from a jeweler in Langley’s Willowbrook Shopping Centre is still at large and police are asking for the public’s help.
On May 15th, the thief walked into Celini Jewelers in the Willowbrook Mall and started talking to a sales clerk.
The man asked to see a women’s ring, and once he had one in his hand, he walked to the men’s rings and asked to see another, said Cpl. Holly Marks of the Langley RCMP.
The clerk asked for the first ring back, and the man simply grabbed the men’s ring and then fled through the mall.
The thief is a Caucasian, about 20 years old, 5’9”, 165 pounds, with a light to medium build. He was wearing a white T-shirt and black cotton pants and carrying a black shoulder bag.
The two rings were worth about $8,500 collectively, Marks said.
