In the weeks and months before and after Langley's largest car show, there are loads of model-specific show 'n shines around Langley.
The most recent one, held next door to Langley's International Festival, was the main event of the 21st annual Great Canadian Volkswagen Weekend.
Held Sunday, Aug. 26 in the northwest parking lot of the Langley Events Centre, the show welcomed about 5,000 car enthusiasts and their families while celebrating 60 years of Volkswagen in Canada.
From 8 a.m. to 3: 30 p.m., visitors perused new and old VWs on display.
The Aug. 26 show 'n shine at the LEC marked the final day of a three-day celebrations of all things Volkswagen.
The weekend started Friday with an open house barbecue at Clover West Garage in Yarrow, followed later in the day with a cruise to drag racing at Mission Raceway Park.
Saturday started off with a pancake breakfast and show 'n shine at Regency Volkswagen in Coquitlam, followed by the DVKK - Dub Allstars Casual Show Shine 'n Dinner at the Shark Club in Langley.
Western Canada's largest VW event attracted stock and custom VWs from around the Pacific Northwest, including many past and present Hot VWs Magazine feature cars.
