Dear editor,

We are deeply concerned about the Harper government’s omnibus Budget Bill C-38. It jeopardizes our fisheries, the environment and our very democracy.

Harper himself would not tolerate ramming through a 400-plus page bill if such a stunt was attempted by the Liberals or the NDP.

We recognize that Langley Conservative MP Mark Warawa is a decent man and, although it takes great courage to disagree openly with your boss, we have sent him a letter calling on him, as our representative, to tell Mr. Harper to stop Bill C-38.
